This guarantees greater resistance, density, and durability of the pole, and improves its permeability and finish.

We mix our concrete with high quality raw materials which, when combined with our automation system for weighing added materials and controlling processes, guarantees a concrete mix that meets both national, as well as international standards and characteristics. The poles are set by means of the injection of water vapor whose temperature level and moisture content are duly controlled, thus allowing for more resistance in less time, and guaranteeing a better quality product.

Plant

After optimizing resources and uncluttering processes, the production plant has the installed capacity to produce approximately 160 poles per day, or over 45 thousand poles per year; from 3 to 18 meters in height and with a resistance of 300 to 10,000 pounds in one-piece poles; and from 18 to 48 meters in height and classifications of 2,000 to 20,000 pounds in sectioned poles.

In order to produce these amounts of poles, the plant uses over 150 molds in different lengths and types of resistance, and is equipped with an industrial workshop for the maintenance of all machinery, in order to comply with our customers’ requirements.

Distribution / Transmission / Telecommunication / Others

Power Distribution and Transmission

Power companies are currently facing a number of challenges: stricter regulations, environmental impact, increased public demand, investment limitations, etc.

This all leads to consider the convenience of using Grupo Atlas poles in power distribution projects, as Grupo Atlas has developed unguyed self-supported poles for distribution lines.

Grupo Atlas’ Pre-stressed, Spun-cast and Post-stressed concrete poles are not only less expensive than an equivalent pole manufactured with other materials, but have also established lifespan parameters, with no maintenance required.

The use of concrete poles in power transmission lines is economically more advantageous as compared to the use of steel lattice towers. This can represent savings of approximately 30%.

Additionally, savings are increased as periods of excution and delivery are shorter, and repairs, supervision, and maintenance costs are lower.

Telecommunication

Grupo Atlas offers options and solutions regarding the construction of aerial transmission structures for landlines, as well as structures for mobile communications and internet.

When defining structures for wireless and Internet equipment, the Design Department works around finding the adequate hardware for the structure, thus making assembly and maintenance of the equipment more efficient.

Others

Prestressed and Spin-cast concrete poles can be used in a variety of unconventional ways, such as:

Ecological Monopole

Lighting for Sports Fields and Public Plazas

Billboards

Support Columns for Footbridges

Strategy Due to leading-edge technology, refined production processes, and highly-trained personnel, our production plant is the most modern in the region.
